In the article, Tadros explained that non-traditional marriages face particular scrutiny in the public eye. She noted that the open marriage aspect of their relationship "gives people more to grab onto, and have theories" and that "it resonates with struggles people can connect to: Betrayal, divorce, a breakdown. These things are relatable. People want to make meaning."
