Forensics Instructor Quoted in Fox News on Global Security Threats

The article examined the resurgence of ISIS and other jihadist groups following the Australia terror attack.

Corri Zoli, part time instructor at Syracuse University's Forensic and National Security Sciences Institute, was quoted in a Fox News article analyzing the implications of the recent terror attack in Australia.

In the article, Zoli, an expert on contemporary warfare and conflict dynamics, emphasized the rising threat to religious minorities. "Governments are on notice that there is a steep rise in the terrorist targeting of religious minorities, particularly those from the Jewish faith community and Israelis worldwide — a trend intelligence agencies say has accelerated in the aftermath of the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas massacre, which killed more than 1,200 people in Israel," Zoli said.

Zoli also highlighted concerns from intelligence analysts about extremist networks' evolving tactics. "Analysts at West Point's Combating Terrorism Center warn these networks are probing for openings in Europe, Australia, Canada and the United States, exploiting ideological ecosystems that can radicalize individuals far from traditional battlefields," she said.
