The total solar eclipse will cross North America from Mexico into Texas and then over parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine and Canada. The duration of totality will be around 1 minute and 27 seconds in Syracuse. The farther north or west you travel from Syracuse, the longer the duration until you reach the center line which will cross through western and northern New York.
